    Trojans, A’s and Nighthawks crowned Kings in the Northern Baseball League

    The past two weekends have seen the culmination of the Northern Baseball League’s (NBL) third season. On the weekend of Sept. 7, Liverpool’s Norman Wells Ballpark played host to the Double-A and Triple-A Finals, with the Single-A playoffs taking place in Manchester on Sunday 15th September. The winners crowned included a club that celebrated a three-peat, another looking for promotion, and a first-time entrant.

    BaseballSoftballUK and Disability Sports Coach stage Baseball Festival

    On a sunny Friday at West Way Sports Centre in West London earlier this month, BaseballSoftballUK and Disability Sports Coach (DSC) held the first-ever adapted baseball festival for DSC club members. More than 25 members from DSC borough community clubs attended, taking part in coaching drills and then a series of games. The matches featured friendly yet competitive play and saw some huge hits and impressive fielding!

    Umpiring with rubber baseballs in Xi’an, China

    British baseball umpire Thomas Haywood, a member of BaseballSoftballUK’s LGBT Panel, has recently returned from umpiring at the Under-18 International Rubber Baseball Organisation (IRBO) Tournament in Xi’an, China, home of the world-famous Terracotta Warriors.
